Things to Do

The long list of things to do in Los Angeles starts with the obvious. Disneyland, Hollywood Boulevard, The Walk of Fame and the Sunset Strip are the first places that come to mind for most visitors. There are many other things to do in this great city that won’t play into the stereotype of Los Angeles being an expensive vacation spot. There are plenty of great museums, beaches, and public parks in Los Angeles that will keep you entertained without putting a dent in your wallet.

Los Angeles’ world famous beaches stretch from Malibu to Laguna. Each beautiful beach compliments its vibrant, or charmingly sleepy beach town.

There are a lot of different parks and hiking trails in Los Angeles to choose from. Griffith Park is a great place to go with the kids and enjoy a train ride through the lush landscape. Inside the park, you can visit the Griffith Observatory and learn everything there is to know about space in an interactive environment. Elysian Park is Los Angeles’ oldest park, dating back to 1886. This picturesque park is located in the Chavez Ravine; a great place to have a picnic, hike, bike-ride or just hang out and read a book on a sunny day. Close by is the famous Dodger Stadium. To catch a Dodger’s day game on a nice day is to be part of a truly great Los Angeles tradition.
