Sunset Junction Street Fair - Los Angeles Hotels .com
It's a beloved annual summer ritual for thousands of Latino residents
and their neighbors--the Sunset Junction Street Fair, an eclectic music
festival, bazaar, food tasting, and carnival amalgamation of epic
proportions. Started in 1980 as a small community event to bring
together the area's long-time Latino residents with their new
gentrified neighbors, the street fair has evolved into a popular event
that attracts LA residents citywide, as well as savvy tourists.
Spend a day exploring the unusual arts and crafts for sale
along Sunset Boulevard, compete for great carnival prizes, taste-test
organic, locally made sausages, or simply dance in the streets from
dawn until dusk in front of the festival's three great stages,
featuring over 45 local and nationally known acts. Regardless, you'll
end the day wishing all neighborhoods were so much fun.
