Playboy Jazz Festival

The annual Playboy Jazz Festival brings world-famous and up-and-coming jazz, blues, multi-genre, and world musicians together for a weekend-long celebration in Hollywood's beautiful outdoor amphitheater, the Hollywood Bowl.

Held in mid-June each year, this music festival is traditionally hosted by comedic great Bill Cosby and builds on the first Playboy Jazz Festival established by Hugh Hefner in 1959. The current Playboy Jazz Festival is co-sponsored by the Los Angeles Philharmonic Association and pulls in thousands of music lovers for performances by jazz masters, famous ensembles, and the freshest talent, with programming that includes new work, revitalized standards, tribute shows, and cross-genre collaborations.
