Huntington Library, Art Collections & Botanical Gardens - Los Angeles Hotels .com

Located in wealthy San Marino, the Huntington offers a spectacular library (open to researchers only) and an art collection featuring French and British works from the eighteenth and nineteenth century. But its biggest draw is its breathtaking, 150-acre botanical gardens.

Divided into themed areas, the lush and varied gardens offer a special delight for horticultural enthusiasts and the casual observer alike. They include an impressive bonsai collection and majestic, sunken Japanese garden, a desert area replete with starkly beautiful cacti, a beautifully manicured English garden, a towering, giant bamboo grove, and much more. Admission is charged for entrance to the grounds.
